On the occasion of Black History Month, Mélanie Joly met this morning with members of the Ahuntsic en couleurs committee of Collège Ahuntsic, Derick-Alexander, Luiza, Ronke, Aurélie-Pauline, Audrey, Christelle, Rose Angele, Delya, Willencya and Dave-Junos. These bright young people spoke passionately about their projects and how resilience has helped them overcome many challenges. Ms. Joly was very inspired by this discussion. The Minister also thanked counsellor Jean-Yves Sylvestre for his commitment to the young people of the neighbourhood and for his work with Ahuntsic en couleurs.
