Today in Halifax, the Prime Minister announced that Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) has been selected as the preferred supplier of submarines for the Canadian Armed Forces — the largest defence procurement program in Canadian history.
This historic milestone will help create and sustain good-paying jobs, strengthen Canada’s defence industrial base, and generate lasting economic benefits for workers, businesses, and communities across the country.
